Stretch & Strengthen Pilates Workout
We all spend too much time sitting at desks or on sofas in the modern world, which means our muscles get short and weak. Even if we do exercise, we never spend enough time stretching thoroughly. This workout is designed to stretch the key muscles of the body, reversing daily damage, but also to strengthen them to help maintain posture and reduce skeletal pressure. All of these can be broken down to suit your body and done everyday in small chunks according to your needs. I am trained to the international gold standards of Stott and APPI.
Your core isn't just your abdominals. It includes your obliques, back muscles and glutes. In Pilates this combination is called the powerhouse. This workout will strengthen your full core to support your spine and help your posture. I was having a particularly wobbly day, I decided not to reshoot, as sometimes, we aren't perfect! And I am embracing my flaws. I am trained to the international gold standard of Stott and APPI
Full body Pilates workout with Hand Weights
This workout is designed to build strength and stamina through deep muscle activation, adding an additional challenge through the use of hand weights. Each muscle group in the body will be worked through with a few co-ordination tests. This will help posture and back pain, as well as toning muscles. Please make sure you are warm before you start. Please excuse cat! I am trained to the international gold standard of Stott and APPI.
Lower Body Pilates Workout
This workout focuses on your abs, thighs and glutes. (Or legs, bums and tums as they used to say in the '80s!). Each exercise will isolate and challenge the muscles that will help keep you strong through your core, but will also sculpt your shape to keep you trim. Make sure you have warmed up before you start. Pilates for Posture
In the modern world we spend far too much time hunched over screens or slumped on the sofa (over more screens) resulting in weak backs and crooked spines. This set of exercises is designed build strength in your back muscles and move your spine in all directions to promote flexibility. No pilates experience or equipment needed for these! Try to do five reps on each side of all the exercises. I am trained to the international gold standard of Stott and APPI.
Reformer on the Mat
Whether we are locked down or you don't have time to get to the studio, we can still recreate some reformer exercises on the mat. Just bring your flex band! Caters for all levels and abilities. Gentle & Basic Pilates
This video is designed to help people with the very basics of Pilates, but also to introduce gentle exercise to aid with back pain and weak abdominals. Perfect to start the journey with Pilates or to help rebuild after injury or chronic degeneration. I am trained to the international gold standard of Stott and APPI.
